I have a bachelors degree in Psychology from Susquehanna University (it's a small college in Pennsylvania) and my Masters in Social work from UNC Chapel Hill. I am licensed to provide therapy in North Carolina and South Carolina. I am a professional member of the national Selective Mutism Association and was asked to join their Board of Directors starting January 2020.

Along with various positions in social work from hospitals to schools, I have ten years of experience in individual and family therapy. My strongest passions are working with children and teens who are experiencing anxiety and the challenges that presents to parents and families. I also enjoy working with and empowering parents, as parenting children who have anxiety or behavioral challenges requires a lot of patience, acceptance and self-care.

Therapy-lingo aside,a few more facts: I am a mother of two and my parenting skills are challenged on a daily basis...I met my husband while rock climbing...I enjoy music, especially if it's live...I love animals (but preferably those with legs)...and I am a human on a journey as well and understand the challenges of living in today's world.
